Nick Sabin and 9/11
Can it be true, Nick Sabin, Alabama Football Coach compares a loss in his sport to the losses we suffered on September 11?

In fairness, Ole Stank Nick probably meant to communicate something about how adversity builds character. But he muffed it. If you're gonna use 911 in your motivational speech, you gotta BE VERY CAREFUL how you do it.
Considering his oratory record "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach", "It was what it was", and now this whole 911 thing, maybe Bama should spend another $4 Million and hire him a speech writer.

Todd,
I'm a really close friend of Stuart's and have done his Thursday radio show twice- once on politics and last night on my music group The Cumberland Trio's comeback after a 40 year "hibernation."
I founded Sport Talk on WGOW-FM 102.3 in 1988 and leased the time from the station. Then I sold it back to them in 2000 so I could do other things. I also wrote a sports column for the Chattanooga Times for 5 years each Monday in the '90s- a tell it like it is column behind the scenes to help promote the show.
I tell you all this personal BS above to preface my comment on your Saban article. It is TERRIFIC!! Loved the way you set it up, used Feinstein, Scarbinsky et al and then the Bryant lesson at the end. I know your allegiance is to another school but you told it like it is with no bias. KEEP doing these columns!!
My Best,
Jerre

I appreciate it Jerre. I listened to Thursday night's show- that was a good one.
Hey Swaim, good to hear from you.
